News: Abeking & Rasmussen 68M Superyacht "Soaring"

68-meter "Soaring" By Abeking & Rasmussen Revealed

A superyacht currently under construction with build number 6506 at Abeking & Rasmussen has revealed finished renders. The new yacht is to be called "Soaring" and is on its way for completion in 2020. The yacht is estimated to be 68-meters long and have a beam of 11.6-meters. The design calls for four interior decks above the waterline that charter guests will enjoy once she is delivered.

Speaking of charter guests, there will be enough rooms (six) to sleep up to twelve when the vessel is completed. Soaring is being fitted out with a contemporary interior offering 1,450GT. Below you have an example of the type of styling that is involved on the internals. She will be available for charter from the Summer of 2020 in the Mediterranean region.

The yacht's construction is in steel for the hull and aluminium for the superstructure. In the latter part of 2018, the superstructure was mated to the hull and it has been fitting-out since then. Power is by dual MTU 12V4000 marine engines which are rated at just over 2,000 horse power each. This project will be a landmark yacht for its German builder and while it is far from the largest they have built, the styling offers something different for a vessel wearing the A&R badge.
