100% Correct.
Having said that, when talking of Marlow and Fleming, chalk and cheese spring to mind.

Neither, actually.
But I dealt with Outer Reef distribution here in Italy for a few years, and during that time (aside obviously from the whole ORY range) I've seen quite a few of their competitors models.
And I also spoke with several owners, and/or former owners, who switched between them over time.
Long story short, in that segment of boats Fleming are still at the top of the food chain, imho.
Well, up to about 10 years ago, at least. I'm not up to speed on more recent production, but as I understand you're not considering a new build, right?
ORYs were not bad either, by the way - even if not up to Fleming construction quality.

Anyway, if any Marlow really ticks all your boxes, my strong suggestion has to be to pick one still owned by a first and very fastidious owner.
Someone who already spent a substantial amount of money, not only to set the boat straight but also for all the headache drugs required in the process.
Oh, and also have the thing carefully scrutinized by the very best surveyor you can find.
Which is always a good idea with any boat of course, but more so with builders not new to structural problems.

I can not remember any bad comments of anybody selling a Marlow boat. As these folks are full of smiles and can sell used taxis from New York.
The better the sales person, Full of smiles, Pushing what ever they are trying to sell, becomes your best (honest) friends.
So, skip this B S about Eric or any staff for Marlow boats. The better sales person will sell their virgin mother.
Now, Can we separate this comment. It's not about most pukes trying to sell this brand, it's the brand.

IE; I have a pristine Yugo. Only abandoned twice. Runs well around the (this) corner. Lets do lunch with your lovely wife. I can deliver in the color of her eyes....

Now that that ship is out of the way, contact your lawyer.
Not your purchasing guy, the court room guy.
Ask him how many court cases there has been against this builder? What models? What year builds? What issues?
2011??? there were more..

Ask YOUR broker, how many of this brand has quickly re-sold after purchase.
