New Dashew FPB 78

    The new FPB78 has been launched and started on her first cruise and looking at the pics reminded me of this thread. Whilst I am not doubting the design of the boat, hte proportions still do not look right to me. Reading the blog she just went from NZ to Fiji and behaved very well is some uncomfortable seas.

    But they have started building the fist FPB70 model which to me looks much better!

    Anyway aesthetics and the "right proportions" are everyone's own options, no right or wrong, and I wish I had the funds to own either one and be stressed out over which one to get, but the FPB70 get my vote right now :)

    I think you may be right, I had never come across the NED70, but the NED70 does look nice :) And myself being of Dutch descent how could I not agree!

    They do have a similar design philosophy, and both have pros and cons but I think the NED70 might be more livable and usable. And the 20kn peed would come in nicely on those day trips when fuel economy is less important than getting there and back in a day.
