Not exactly a Yacht, but strange enough to warrant some scrutiny. Canards toward the bow, with a Russian name "Nevka", is this someone's basement project or an actual production boat?.

yup, same boat and marina. Your right, it looks like a hydro-foil that they use for high speed river tours.

BTW my favorite lookout/lighthouse has been updated and renovated, so I have changed by avatar to it.

The type in your first picture was used extensively as a ferry service in the Greek islands during the '70's. However, they did have a habit of breaking down and had to be towed to port by local fishing boats. :D

It sure doesn't resemble any Chris Craft I've ever seen.
    I would guess '50s era?

The bow looks a bit like a Mathews, but I don't think they made anything that big...

I would guess research. The day shapes on the mast designate her as "Restricted In Maneuverability Due To The Nature Of Her Work".

    Mmmm,...

..., sea grass to promote (Asian) oyster beds by chance?
"Officials in Maryland and Virginia are poised to make a decision about whether to introduce the Asian (Suminoe oysters from Asia) Oyster to the Chesapeake Bay. The Eastern Oyster, a native species is endangered due to disease and over harvesting. Officials say that the Asian Oyster won’t get the same diseases and that they will boost the harvest. "
Had'em - so big, kinda meaty, so,.., so, foreign. Yikes!
