Thank you Francois. I am going for wooden floors. The factory did not manage to install the wooden floors at this stage because they were pressed for time, therefore they installed carpets and will install the wooden floors after the London boat show. My boat will be exhibited at the show. I have two layers of carpets on my current Phantom, but I prefer the wood. IMO, it even looks better. Best regards, Tarek
Thank you Kevin. The London Boat Show is from January 11th to the 20th. Then she goes back to the factory for maybe a week, 10 days for a cleanup and to install the wood floors in the saloon. After that she is transported by sea to Greece and I'll sail her from there to Egypt. Anyone from YachtForums attending the London Boat Show......I'll also be there. Would be great to meet.
The interior is indeed very handsome...He probably is getting tired of the compliments but I love the interior and the flybridge. That is the first finished flybridge shot...impressive with the fabric down
Tarek What is the fabric on the flybridge. It doesn't look like the standard pleather r or sunbrella fabric. It looks sort of suede looking.
Thank you gentlemen.......it was great to see her in the flesh at the boat show. Now I am really looking forward to having her arrive at her new home . You are all welcome aboard should you visit Egypt....which I hope you do.
It isn't Alcantara Kevin.........it's a weaved fabric with a ribbed texture. Fairline call it a water weave and the fabric's name is "dupione sand".
She's now ready to leave the UK I visited the factory today at Ipswich to have a final look at my Squadron 78 after the wood floors had been installed......job done, they look great. Fairline did a fantastic job with the floors. She's now ready for her voyage to Egypt. Here are a few shots I took today.......
She's very beautiful! The wood floors look excelent, much better than the carpet. I bet your very excited about the first trip. Congrats!
