I'm kind of new here, so again - I apologize if you have already provided the information I'm about to ask for...

Could we get some idea of the specs on that Explorer Yacht (top vessel, post #5) - propulsion method, main engines, or diesel-electric generators, tonnage, thrusters, accommodations, crew requirements, built-to-Class?, DP?, daughter craft envisaged?, diving equipment specs?, etc, etc,

Hi, no need to apologize. I did this concept 9 years ago without a brief and I would imagine any old specs would probably be outdated by now. Besides the exterior design everything from here is a blank canvas ;)

    Okie dokie Mr. Kajan, understood.
Your designs intrigued me that much, I looked up your profile and I see "Banker, Market data manager"
So, are you designing these yachts as a pastime/ hobby? What Naval Architecture back ground do you have?
    (You certainly have talent)

Yes, my daytime job is still with a large Investment Bank.
I have no Naval Architecture background although I have a rough idea of some of the technical specs that I would prefer and what the interior should look like.

Nothing new, just my take on the Center Console concept. 70 ft. with 5 x Seven Marine 627’s.

That 70 stands out in a very crowded marketplace of center console designs. The sheerline looks heroic, possibly iconic. Your talent never ceases to amaze!

I am really enjoying this thread! If we end up doing a custom boat, might give you a call.

    55 meter Catamaran concept.
I wanted some designs elements from the Jaguar E-type combined with some Americas Cup foiling racers.
    Wing sail or Dyna Rig.

Very sleek design! I would go for the wing sail, just to be different.

These days it’s hard not to think of the COVID-19 virus but I’ll do my best in distracting you, not to diminish the harsh reality of the global problem.

I really do enjoy all new and exciting boat and yacht designs that we see almost every day BUT, I believe a classic “Gentleman’s Motor Yacht” design will have a better chance of standing the test of time and I think it will always be in a class of its own.

This is a 130 ft/40m modern retro design with hybrid propulsion. The tender storage at the bow is a perfect place for the 21 ft. all electric runabout.

Think 95 ft. Catamaran, two hulls and massive volume. 4 x Volvo Penta IPS 1350’s.

I was aiming for something sporty yet refined and elegant. 68m/222 ft.
As you can see I’m reusing some of my design elements from my last post.

If Danneskjöld, I’m a huge fan. If not, I still like her.

Hi, I’m not sure I follow on the Danneskjöld reference? Are you referring to the sail yacht by Fraser?

    Alas; "Atlas Shrugged"
Great book where "the role of man's mind in existence" was explored.
I have felt this way before .

Also, the name of a 50 ish boat I worked on in Jax.

But, we still work on boats.

Yes, were out of our mind..
