The 30ft. fast commuter/interceptor is now 33ft. with some smoother lines. The deadrise is still 26 degrees to ensure that smooth ride in most conditions.
Kajan, RCI could have really looked at this for their Oasis Class...why didn't you design this 6 years ago
Somewhere in there she looks like something from Delta Powerboats crossed with Sunseeker crossed with Aicon or Fairline.
Well Ron, I had my mind set on a 400m cruise ship concept and RCI had theirs set on a 360m concept for starters. It might also have been a tough job to convince them to go for some new design elements rather than cabins with balconies at mid ship. I can certainly understand the economical aspect of wanting as many balconies as possible but outside my day job, I can allow myself to go for the aesthetics I deliberately tried to avoid too many similar decks stacked on top of each other and I also wanted to create a break on those elongated sections and yes, there are some RCCL design cues in there.
It’s time to put the 100ft. RPH concept through a refit. Canoe stern, an additional pillar on the super structure and the mast mowed forward some.
Trixie Hi Kajan, Your RPH design sort of reminds me of a modern version of a one-off ferro-cement yacht that docked down on the South River (near Annapolis) at one time. I always thought is was a very appealing design. ...double-ender as well I had several pics of her but can only fine this one sent to me by the designers's son.
Mike can you try to design a different looking version of Steve Jobs "Venus"? Maybe Philippe Starck can use a little bit of your inspiration.
