So this is actually really important for me to figure out - my wife really likes the Marlow design / brand etc. but we have owned a straight shaft boat that had problems with cavitation / tunnels, props too close together etc. A lot of the same question marks. Service is also very important to us and because we live so close to Palmetto we looked at Marlow. we are looking at a 2020 62cb, anyone have any insight to vibration issues on a later model of this size?
Welcome to Yacht Forums. Please take this in the most kind way; Marlows are sure pretty to look at. IMO, keep walking.
Service on a used boat is going to be all local contractors, not the factory. I would not pick a used bait based of factory proximity.
Enjoyed 3 seasons on our 2017 Marlow 53e so far and really enjoying it. Perfect for cruising inshore. Beautiful boat. Construction good, including attention to detail in non-visible areas. Equally happy at 8 knots or 18 knots. No vibration issues for us, but have heard other boats had them. I have come to know several owners, some on their 2nd or 3rd Marlow, and all seem happy. All agree that sea trial is key, and be prepared to keep searching until you find the right one for you.
