Just so you don't feel alone and set upon, yesterday I shot a 3" nail into the first knuckle of my left thumb. So I'll go get the beers for us if you'll open them.:D

So sorry for your accident. I fell off my roof this past Feb. Had to have two screws and tendon repair. Until I read your post I thought it would be safer to work on the boat and not the house. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Be careful of those pesky shopvacs...... They tend to be chomping at the bit after being locked up all winter :)

yea I went ahead and got new one with a better attitude .... we are down to 6 days and counting till the magic gate opens and I can get back in .. drove by today and it seems that my tarp has blown off so that sucks .. but we are not gonna get any rain or snow this week so I guess it will live .....

back in the yard ..tornados and all..

Well I got off work on friday and headed straight to the boat . made it on and in the boat when all hell broke lose wind, rain, hail, it was crazy ..turns out a f3 tornado blew in across the river just 8 miles up river from my boat and took out a small river town killing a few people and destroying everything in its way . I was thinking today while checking out the damage on the boat ( one tarp and a cracked widow ) how lucky I got don't know if it could have picked up a 46 steel roamer and tossed it but I'm glad I did not find out ...

The answer is a resounding YES! I was on a 60' Sunseeker a few years back when a tornado blew through the marina (much less powerful, nothing like the ones that have been flying around the south and mid-west the past few days) It lifted the boat up 3' and dropped it about 4 times. Last I heard 31 lives have been lost, billions in damages, and one entire town off the map in this round and it's not even tornado season yet. My heart goes out to the victims. Glad you're ok. Next time find other shelter (hopefully there won't be a next time.)
