The natural thing one would think would be for cleaning but with them folded down i'm not sure how comfortable crew would be up there doing that. Bridge clearances should not be an issue with these yachts. "A+" (ex. Topaz) has the mast that folds backwards between the exhausts for cleaning...."BLUE"'s mast folds forward as well.
Well "OPERA" has more bulk in upper midships area than 'Luminance' does so that is why. Nice to see them testing the search lights on the mast.
I was in the area today for family business and thought to have a look at the yachts outside at Lürssen Work in progress both on Opera and Luminance. Not bad for yard to have two of those monster in the pipeline at the same time. More than hundred years between launch of these two ships but I must say Opery looks pretty good besides being massive. Interesting feature below the rescue boat bay. The bottom part lowers to easy the launch of the boat and allows a comlete closure of the compartement. Nice design. Amazing, the subcontractors even work on the weekends.
