As I already said in the Lürssen News thread that Katara left Bremen and is Bremerhaven at the moment.
But now I saw that she is in a drydock, maybe new underwater painting?

Could be, remember she has a full suite of underwater lights too that they use almost everyday.

She should have been in Gibraltar. Not sure if she has left yet though.

I'm curious though, where is A7-HMD...I realize many times when in Europe she does not carry her bird in the Summer Season. Then take it on for Atlantic crossings to use and show off in the Caribbean in Winter Seasons?

Maybe the thread title should be updated with Katara in it?

    Hi,

Helicopters like anything deteriorate when exposed to a salty atmosphere. It is quite possible that the machine is parked in a hanger out of the elements when not in use or on standby.

As for "showing off", with or without a Helicopter onboard that is a fairly impressive vessel to say the least.

Rolling up to an anchorage in that could surely be considered showing off in itself.

Yeah of course but some owners just have birds on deck for show, they hardly use them. Sometimes they are a permanent fixture. I know down here in the Caribbean, "Katara's" helicopter gets used alot especially here in Barbados. I just wanted to know why you weren't seeing it onboard in Europe, thanks.
