I do not have any news regarding "Kingdom 5KR".
But there are some rumours about a new 200m project being built at a leading north european shipyard...

I very much doubt the owner of Kingdom 5KR has the capacity to build a new and larger boat. He is very well known for publicity stunts that play upwards his percived wealth. Other than the very public fight with Forbes, his famous flying palace A380 was cancelled ages ago (without any publicity of course). His empire is highly leveraged. Don't believe everything they want you to believe.

I remember an interview with Andrew Winch about Al Mirqab where he said just the yacht's carry-on items filled 5 large trucks. I can only imagine how many Azzam will fill. Delivery any day now, I guess?

Yeah, she is supposed to be delivered in October...and this month is coming towards a close soon, so perhaps within a week.

Probably about the same or less because I bet she will have less volume than Al Mirqab.

If the figures shown by MT are right, Azzam has 18,000 GRT. Al Mirqab 9,518 GRT.

Interesting. I thought I remember hearing from some user in the know here that Al Said would still be the largest yacht by volume but I guess that could be wrong!

Clearly Azzam is deceiving, she looks very sleek, and she is, but on a larger scale than other yachts. Al Said and Al Salamah have that wedding cake look, whereas Eclipse and Azzam look sleek and lower volume: wrong! The ceilings must be higher, because the beam isn't wider.

    Azzam ready for delivery ?

Family intel service provided some pictures of Azzam today. She seem to be ready for delivery. Her name and homeport are visible now. Except for some necessary cleaning of the SAT antennas and the mast, she looks great and ready to go. Her homeport, shown on the port side of the stern, is Abu Dhabi (UAE). This confirmes her ownership and cancels all rumors obout her, being owned by members of the Royal family of Saudi Arabia.

Nice photo HTM, she must be really close to delivery. I'd love to eventually see photo's of her interiors but I guess that won't happen for a very long time!
