    There are lil relay/contacts in inverters and transformers. Never trusted them.
    I've always installed 4 gang transfer switches.
    Correctly strapped, W, G and ships bond are only tied to the ship when Gen-set or inverters are selected, open when on shore power.

    This reminds me to ask; anybody inspected the box and transfer switches yet?

    I think we are all mostly guessing.
    The OP has already explained he is not an electrician.
    Without getting into the box and chasing some leads, I do not think an answer is to be had here.
