    jherlyn,

The Fairlane website indicates they have a dealer in South Norwalk CT. You may want to visit the website as well as call or write for more information regarding warranties and servicing.

The Sea Ray Sedan Bridge boats in the 50' range are offered with dual helms but most that you see have only an upper helm. Sea Rays may not be the Mercedes Benz of the boating world but they are well constructed and make for nice cruisers. As far as holding value, I think it's a bit of a stretch to expect any boat to hold its value. They depreciate. Some faster than others but they all drop. That's why I buy used. I like to let the original owner take the big depreciation you get hit with in the first few years.

Check around the Great Lakes for nice fresh water boats that generally have few hours on them due to their short season.

Palm Beach has a flying bridge version of their 50 foot yacht. Here is a link to their website. They also have offices in Norwalk CT, Newport RI and Annapolis MD. They have an IPS option available. Has a top speed of about 35 knots.

Custom built boats are serviced many thousands of miles away and countries away. It's not a problem with a competant yard and Fedex. Many parts can be reto-fitted if need be.
