Solaris had her second round of sea trials. Really like her futuristic look.

"Solaris" is supposed to be departing today. She should be heading to Gibraltar!

"Solaris" is such a beautiful yacht. By far the best looking modern explorer i'd say. "Octopus" is nice yes but to me not as good as this. Of course You really cant compare them as they were built pushing 20 years apart. Glazing technology isn't the same as it was in 2003. The glass and its highly reflective tint properties on Solaris really makes her stand out. Of course she isn't the first and only yacht to have reflective tinted glass...."Lady Moura", "Zeus" etc spring to mind.

I find she looks okay from far but the closer you get the more details are revealed from her 'minimalist' exterior.

Looking to a number of videos recently Im almost convinced that the grey color on the hull most likely is just a temporary protective coating!

I thought this initially but I can't see that the vessel is...delivered and still has protective hull film. I doubt.

I'd have to agree with YachtNews... if that's any kind of film, it's smoothest, glossiest, most seamless film I've ever seen. Doesn't seem likely.
