I secure my tender with 4 basic ratchet straps that use the 1” nylon webbing. The ratchet mechanism and hooks are all stainless. During my safety briefing I tell my passengers to simply cut the straps with a knife in case of emergency. Key is in the ignition and fuel tank is always full at start of a trip. I have a 3 chock system for the boat. Typical two rails that the boat sits on. Then a third at the transom that acts like a bump stop. This makes it easy to line the boat up when dropping it back in the chocks and gives better security for mounting. Two straps on the transom that pull straight down. Then two on the bow that pull down and aft at about 45 degrees.
