I know what you mean and on the 47' and 70' I can agree, but this 90 is pretty well done, not too high forward as the others. I guess it should have most of the antennas hidden under the glass.
The design has, perhaps even longer... but their official release of the more detailed info was November 8th (as seen here h**p://www.*********/jumpNews.asp?idLang=IT&idChannel=26&idUser=0&attivo=undefined&txtStartRecord=1&idNews=393) Just change the ** to tt.
I think the 55m is AWESOME. I hope it get built. I love everything wally do, maybe the "Lunchbox" was a bit off kilter, but still funky and revolustionary. Reminds me of Citroen in the 50's, way out! Next they need to build a "cat", maybe a 60' one. Same gun metal colours and web-like sails and i will order one.
Exterior styling of a yacht is interesting, but I am always intrigued by the lay out of ship : I know beuatiful boats with a very unpractical arrangement, and I also know boats which I don't think they are nice to see, but still have a very good layout. You live ON the ship and you do not watch it only from the quay! Having said that, you can argue the lines of the Wally 55, but from my point of view the interior arrangement is excellent for a yacht of this size ! So that is why I like the boat. By the way : the lay out is very similar to Lurssens' Northern Star, which has a complete different styling. Both boats have more or less the same concept of giving good area inside and outside. To me : both ships are on top of the league of good boats to live on in the 50-60m class!
Descriptions : yes. On the Wally site, and in the forum "yacht reviews & feature stories" / post : "another wild wally".
I knew it but always I see it I must laugh. But as helipilot I think it must be really work to fly this thing.
The New (old) Wally: I thought this had been mentioned here already... but I was a bit off, Lars mentioned it in the "winter" thread. Wally is going old-school! I'm not entirely sure I like it... but I definitely applaud them for once again doing something comlpetely out of the blue.
would be an idea not to use the angled roofs of the deckhouses, so they could lower the whole deckhouses into the hull during sailing and raise them when in harbor or in bad weather; better looking too.
How cool are these ads? I'd prolly fall over in shock if I ever saw something like this around Montreal.
Huh? Gotta wonder what percentage of the people in the cars driving down that road could ever afford a Wally? Kelly
Well the BMW driver could probably afford the skis. Mind you, those ads were put up in Turin, Italy, so with the Olympics nearly upon the city I'd imagine there are some wealthy people in and around town.
Doesn't really matter. For those people that do have specific goals in mind an advert like that just might divert the goal towards ownership of a Wally product. Perhaps not a single potential current customer saw one of those adverts but who knows how many 5 to 10 years down the road. Memorable images work!
Fair enuf. But I still wonder how many of those drivers will be able to swing a Wally, even 10 years down the road. Kelly
I don't think they are looking for the buyers for Wally 118. But you have to admit that seeing manufacture of the skis produces the futuristic yacht as well is preety cool, especially if you ski in popular places in the Alpes.
More news from Wally. A little confused about that last paragraph, are they saying that 47.5 and 45 knots are the 70fters top speed, or just that is as fast as it's gone so far on an undisclosed amount of throttle? New colour is growing on me. http://www.*********/jumpNews.asp?i...idUser=0&attivo=9&txtStartRecord=1&idNews=410
