Here is a great picture from our US dealer, showing the 80-footer from a drone. You can almost see why this boat is faster and consuming much less fuel than most other boats...
I love ALL your designs Lars, but this is a departure. Given the size of the cabin, do you envision a walk around deck like a center console?
Yes, this is different. The deck is like a motor sailer with a raised wheelhouse and below is mainly an open plan. Not a boat for family vacations... And not a lot of oversized windows..!
Weird, but bold.. Perhaps a limited market for an “way out there” design..? Got anything more than this rendering? 3D model maybe?
The idea is to build a custom interior based on what you need instead of having a complete mini yacht interior.
I have now made an Explorer version of the 80-footer, that can be built from our existing moulds. With twin or triple IPS for long range or high speed...
Here is an old design that I have updated a little recently. It is 115' Semi-displacement for a 12-14 knots long range cruising...
Can't help noticing that there's no IPS, on a boat obviously targeted at knowledgeable boaters... PS: technicalities aside, the Delta-like superstructure flows rather well also on such completely different vessel, I must say - good job!
Thank you, Of course you know that IPS is for planing hulls, the IPS/1350 is for 25-42 knots. Besides this, I think a long range cruiser, intended for going almost anywhere, should use gear that can be serviced and repaired almost anywhere.
Here are a couple of smaller retro designs in a series I have made recently, one is 40' and the other 23'...
