Its a possibility. Interestingly, she isn't flying the red ensign from her stern. She has the UK Red Cross jack colours. Royalty?

Interestingly, use of the Union Flag as an ensign on a civilian craft remains illegal to this day ever since Charles I ordered it be restricted to His Majesty's ships "upon pain of Our high displeasure" in the 17th century, mainly due to its unauthorised use by merchant mariners to avoid paying harbour duties by passing themselves off as Royal vessels.

From what I see there K!W! it seems to be the Naval Ensign that the British Warships fly from their stern. That is what "Talitha" was flying this morning.

On the other hand, I have seen "Queen Mary 2" and "Queen Elizabeth 2" (when she sailed for Cunard) flying the blue ensign from their sterns.

It is probably a Royal Yacht Squadron ensign as that is the same flag and carries a lot of weight with harbour masters when trying to get a mooring in a busy harbour in the dead of night.

Not that i'm bitter or anything but losing the last berth in St Peter Port at 0400hrs many years ago to a yacht that arrived well after me seems to have stuck somewhere in my head! Who was to know that my Royal Cornwall Yacht Club ensign could be trumped so easily.

She has changed back to flying the Civil red ensign now.

Having served on a few RYS yachts, I have a suspicion that it has more to do with who was on board, rather than which flag she was flying.

There used to be a downside to flying the White Ensign, iin that the Queen had the right to use the vessel at any time and all RYS yachts would be the first to be commandeered in the event of a war/national emergency. I’m not sure if that is still the case.

Any vessel, civilian or military, flying the White Ensign (in fact any form of British Ensign) AT NIGHT is in breach of protocol and flag ettiquette. In the case of a Royal Yacht Squadron member being a transgressor, then there is every likelihood of being shot at dawn on the clubhouse lawn. I got the roasting of my life from the owner of a yacht when I failed to strike the White Ensign at sunset.

"Talitha" left her anchor position about 30 min ago and is now underway, northwards along the coast. She has the cruise ship "Seven Seas Mariner" in front of her...

"Talitha's" progress has taken her near to her next destination. Not sure where this is as yet but for the speed, direction and duration of time she was underway I'd guess she would be in the region of Antigua by now. Here is a webcam grab of her encountering minimal swell and her foredeck is wet.

I'm thinking Falmouth Harbor, Antigua but it's been a long time since I was there.

Wherever it is she appears to be anchored now.

According to AIS, she is in English Harbour, Antigua.

I spent two weeks anchored in English Harbor waiting on parts in 1988. Not having much to do we poked around the island in a rental car and wandered around the harbor in our 11' Boston Whaler dingy.

Talitha is in Falmouth Harbor.

Well, everyone needs a bit of privacy now and then. When you have eighteen people living in the confined areas of a boat 24-7, and require them to be sparkly and gay (original meaning) for guests – it’s only fair to give them some space during their down time.

Look who was on "Talitha's" webcam at the time (11/11/2010). Looks like "Phoenix2" and possibly the recently sold "Trident"...
