Kohler Generator won't keep running

    Had the same problem with my Onan, Check the bridge rectifier, Simple and cheap fix.

    rcrapps helped out with a schematic. Everyone with a Kohler 7.5R should carry spare, rough service fuses. There is a 10 amp and 2 amp in the board at the rear of the unit. My 2 amp fuse was burned out although it didn't look it. I confirmed it with an ohm meter. Runs perfectly now.

    Did you ever get the problem solved. Mine does the same thing. Even a Kohler authorized shop can't fix it.
