Ya, that's what I was thinking also, just a smaller version of Hotei. I wonder if it's also a Monk-McQueen effort. Here's Hotei...

I guess I should "edit" my above Hotei post:

    The shipyard was McQueen
    The Architect/stylist was Jack Sarin.
No Monk association that I can find.

    Hey everyone,

Sorry I forgot all about this forum, and I've been catching up for the past few hours...Brian, thanks for the articles, I had never seen them, they were a great read. Lazee Gal wasn't our family's first Grenfell, we actually had one called "Spindrift V" now known as "The Good Ship", it's about 32'. It was great to see that magazine cover, I hadn't seen it since my Nana showed me it years ago. Vandal is in fact Lazee Gal's sister ship, very good eye! outmywindow, I love your work, I really apprectiate it. If I learn any new
facts I'll let you guys know. Please feel free to ask me questions anytime!

I've seen one of those before!
B's seem to be quite popular in in the PacNW area for some reason.

First 42s7 Diana wins Key West Race Week

1997 - As Beneteau celebrates her 20th year in the USA, it collects another prestigious Boat of the Year award for the Oceanis 461.

Yes, I'm very familiar with their history.
Thanks for posing, it's always fun to read.

Yes, 2 Beneteau's (like father / like son) and a Jeanneau (son attempts to "one up" father, which failed miserably when father then purchased an oyster)

    PropBet,

The Old Man has an Oyster? I didn't know there were any sailing PacWest. Was she new when bought or used?

The old owner of Oyster, Richard Matthews, is a member of the Antigua Yacht Club and also the Royal Navy Antiguan Tot Club. Nice chap but has now sold the company, though has a stonking big one being made at the yard.

I used to have several Boats in the past, but now we have friends who own Sail & Motor Yachts that we spend way to much time on, making personal ownership redundant.

His was used, and no, not based on the West Coast. He moves around from the Carib. to Mexico to the Med. He's a girlie man. He doesn't like cold water! It'd be tough to find any foul weather gear on his boats. I like poking fun at him about it. It's a never ending laugh between us.

Yes, but we would still like them even if they didn’t have a Yacht.
