It could be the remains of last nights Cuervo, but do you think that face on the bottom of that crab had anything to do with him "letting" him go!

I'd figure the bird lost a few feathers through a pinced and diced situation...

Looks like the Vancouver Olympic committee is on to us.
They put the rings on a barge right in front of my window. I guess I can live with it for the next 4 months.

Looks like Attessa is itching to go South and leave this rain for us to enjoy.

I think I'd take seeing those olympic rings at night anyday.

Not to be negative but besides the obvious (non-stop) maintenance issues with the dark blue hull. Somebody really dropped the ball on that top.

Do you mean the loss of upper deck space due to the retro stack, or the bimini.

And that's about the only ball that was dropped. Otherwise, this is an exceptional boat and the closer you look, the more quickly you realize this boat was designed and engineered by someone who really knew a lot about boats and building them. In this case, it's Dan Fritz, the original founder of Queenship.

The boat pictured above was the first Sea Spirit built. Out of the gate, this is an excellent effort. I found NO glaring inadequacies, when I normally find fault with most boats. Yes, the top looks like an afterthought because it WAS an afterthought. The original design did not stipulate this feature.

As a testament to how well-received the boat is... they have sold several more Sea Spirits in just over a year; in a terrible economy, while many builders have sold none. On the hull color, yes... higher maintenance. It shows spots and is prone to fading. So is a black sports car, but it sure looks good when it's clean. ;)

I'm not a fan of the half-tower (tube & fabric) type rigid top. They tend to ruin the lines of anything but the squarest of boats. IMHO If you must use fabric go with a traditional bimini. But nothing beats a full hardtop with styling that actually matches the boat.

I agree, but as Carl mentioned the current top is only temporary and not part of the original design.
No doubt, they could fabricate anything one wants. Make mine a hardtop with retractable glass for some vitamin D.

This is a nice looking yacht
I thought this was a Sparkman Stephens design.
I didn't know Dan Fritz was a designer & engineer.

You're right Brian, it is an S&S design. I should not have said 'designed and engineered' by Dan, but there are thousands of details that go into building a boat, long after the blueprints are delivered. In the end, the final product is the culmination of the design & engineering of the boat builder as well.
