She does a solid 48 knots. I’m up here at Jarrett bay right now, and they tweaked the props a little and got better numbers from when that video was made.
The Spencer that was sunk on delivery five years ago The crew at Worton Creek Marina rebuilt her https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/breaking-news-new-74-spencer-sportfish-sinks.25929/
It's called mancave now. It's a great boat but same speed as all 74 spencer's with big mtus. Fast but not record breaking. After Wharton redid her she sat on market for a while. Mancave sold their old spencer and needed a ride. Was brought back to spencer for new paint and few other things. They certainly got a great boat. Hope the history doesn't affect the resale for them.
I was at Worton once or twice when she was in the shed and saw the work they were doing. Seemed like an intense amount or effort, time, materials and money. The end result looked pretty good to my untrained eye tho. I saw the bottom & hull sides but never the interior or inside the engine bay. It looked massive in their travel lift well. If it was a $6M boat new, I wonder what Worton Creek could get for her after all the effort expended and if they could have made a profit. The boat was there for quite a while as I recall but that does not mean they were working exclusively on her the whole time.
