Is this a sound buying option?

Heh... no no, I didn't mean that "anything other that actual theatre seats" is dumb... I was talking about the placement, meaning they should be "front and center". I know people who, after shelling out for a nice home theatre, proceed to place seating around the edges of the room the way one would normally set them, with complete disregard for positioning in relation to the screen, speakers, etc. I even knew someone who... get this... put the TV and speakers in the room kiddy-corner while the rear speakers were placed in the normal spots at the rear of the room, which happened to be directly over the couches. Polite company forced me to keep my mouth shut on that one.

Although I don't think the public has ever seen the inside of Octopus, you've just gotta' know there's some serious computer gaming stuff in there. And you'll get no arguement from me that the only way to really play any racing-sim is in the proper seating enviroment. OMPs Rally seats are nicer to sit in for longer periods though IMHO... one of those, some pedals, a force-feedback wheel set-up... so much fun to be had.
