  1. Sunrise Yachts starts construction of first 47-meter motor yacht

Sunrise Yachts located in Turkey has started the construction of a 47-meter long motor yacht with planned delivery in 2011. The new build has been started in the aura of success created by the first launched Sunrise yacht, 45-meter "Africa". Africa will be on show at the upcoming 2009 edition of the Monaco yacht Show (MYS). The new 47-meter starts a new trend for Sunrise as they seek to expand their offered range.

The Sunrise 47-meter is a progression of the 45-meter design with distinct individuality and new features. The exterior styling and naval architecture has been penned by world renowned Espen Oeino. The interior has been formulated by Franck Darnet design.

One of the main additions in features on the new 47-meter series is the incorporation of folding bulwarks in the region of the main saloon. The main saloon features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on port and starboard to open up onto the mini balconies created by folding bulwarks. The result is the introduction of the outdoors inward with a spacious appeal while enhancing the earth-toned colour palette of the saloon as suggested by renderings.

The 47-meter series with the colaboration between Espen Oeino and Franck Darnet has created two versions of interior conceptualization. "This collaboration will enable us to show some special interior design details not yet seen on yachts of this size. Two versions of interior layouts are suggested. In each version, a contemporary and a classical styles will be proposed."

With these styled layouts also involves two accommodation arrangements. The new arrangements differ from the usual guest accommodation on the lower deck and master to the fore of the main deck. Rather, the accommodation in one version focuses on the master stateroom and guest rooms being on the main deck and the lower deck reserved for crew.

The other arrangement allows for the master to be perched on the upper deck and other guest accommodation are forward on the main deck opposing each other. The rest of the main deck in this arrangement would take on the more familiar role of entertainment. The Sun deck of the 47-meter is spacious and features a multi-person jacuzzi flanked by comfortable sunbeds There is a dedicated bar to the forward sunpads. Al Fresco eating table for 8 is situated amidships under the hard top.
