When you start looking for a bilge swab and co-captain, let me know.
    She does look cool.
Going to take lot of rum to keep me down from riding at 7 kts. But I can get close to an original Gardner Diesel engine.

Yeah, the Rat would make a great tender for this little ship.
I did send the picture and the idea to wifey yesterday (she is in Fort Lauderdale hanging out with girl friends.)
No great or no positive response like: Honey, let’s do this.. Holly Cow, what a great idea you came up with just now..
Nada..Maybe a different wife or a different boat, or both.
    Stay tuned.

Rum can be arranged, in fact the ship will carry wast quantities of it.
Yes, life in the slow lane, I am all for it, cruise in style, no rush. What is your hourly rate?
(Strictly engine room work and some gourmet cooking in the galley, no sex change needed but what the hell, send before and after pictures, who knows..) :D

We saw the moon rocket yesterday from 80 miles away but one of my neighbors drove down there to the Cape and got a good seat in the VIP area a mile away and took this picture: IMG_3951.jpeg

On a different note, the Cessna Aircraft Corporation has launched a new model of the C-208 Caravan, so far it has sold well but weight limits apply and customers are advised to diet aggressively before their next camping trips as Lift over Drag could be a problem for Plus Sized campers.

A friend that I used to fly with built a house on the intracoastal in Titusville near the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center. Pic below was from his backyard. 55 years in Florida and I had never seen a launch until Artemis 2. A truly visceral experience...

Interesting way of 'tying up' your boat/tender.

Anchor Shock is the name of this product...

New water police boats in Norway, don’t have any details but pretty sure they are diesel powered and made for rough (and cold) conditions. IMG_9545.jpeg

    (Designed in Sweden by AMG?)

I used to back my 34 into her slip and use these quick clips all around. It was so easy and quick.
3 twisted nylon offered lots of shock absorption.

When we went to our 58, I abandoned the these ideas. Now we just loop the 3/4" open line eye-lets over the cleats from lines that stay on the dock.
I think I like our later plan better, loops over the cleats.

In the video, loops over the cleats (as the videos stern cleat) may have been easier and quicker also. The quick clip on the pontoon bow was cool but a cleat was rite behind it ready for another dock line loop.

Thx for the kind words Capt. Ralph but I still do the occasional rum but primary poison is probably Pinot Grigio. :D

Amen to that and some have retired from this board but perhaps lurking in the background.
Others have gone to Heaven (Hopefully)

Brother, I was not calling you the shop drunk.
I was referencing somebody else (myself).
You have always been a gentleman and a kind brother.
That does not mean we agree always, but you are my brother and I get aweigh with picking on you sometimes..

Nah, not focused on fixing problems so much but rather everything Yachts and boats including buying/selling, learning/sharing information, etc., then fixing/repairing maybe.
Also a dose of humor and some occasional car/airplane chats with some bike stuff mixed in occasionally, I have also seen a bikini babe or two. (But never posted one of course)
Friendship sometimes follow if members get along, but this is not a social site like TikTok or FB.
Hat off for sending 50 Friend Requests right off the bat, pretty ambitious
