The "Midlandia" Project is expected to be completed in early 2012 as long as everything goes to plan. So that should mean she will launch later this year! She should have been the second hull to have launched after the "Icon" but for whatever reason the project fell behind schedule and what was to be the third hull (launched as "Baton Rouge") launched before her.
"Slipstream" should have been at Icon since the end of March or early April. I think she is to be painted over and have general maintainence and works done. Why a new owner?
Didn't said that there is a new owner. Sometimes is after a ownerchange a refit, so in my oppinion it's possible.
YN on your picture: There is Basmalina II , Slipstream, Baton Rouge and the sailling yacht from Vitters, but what is the other yacht on the left ?
Hi I am new here and I love this forum with so much informations and with such a clear structure .Well done! A friend told me some days ago that the 42meter yacht Balisman II was delivered after her refit at the Icon yard.
"Basmalina II", she didn't have a 'refit' at Icon, she was completed at Icon, started construction at Kaiserwerft but that company went under. Welcome Sea Ray, glad you enjoy the forums so much.
Icon recently posted this photo on their Instagram. I can't keep up with all these "Rahil" yachts. They said the yacht had just returned from sea trials. Looks like it had been in refit or something from in the pic, the paint looks fresh. The design looks like something A&R would have built. Can someone fill in the blanks?
I am shure she was built by Bloemsma Van Breemen in 2005 as "Flying Eagle" and is 48m long. It is not surprising that she looks like an A&R design because Reymond Langton learned from Donald Starkey before they founded their own company.
That is true! Yeah I totally forgot about Van Breemen. It was looking so familiar but it just wasn't coming to me. What has me baffled is the number of boats called "Rahil".
