Speaking of Jensen Beach, let me share a few pictures I took of the road (or lack thereof!! ) as I drove just north of Stuart along the west side of the intracoastal. The intracoastal is about 1 mile wide along here with the barrier islands of Sailfish Point and Hutchinson Island across the intracoastal.

To give you an idea how high the water surged... notice the seaweed draping the rub rail as the tide subsided.

Ever seen a capsized car? Half of the road was washed away.

Looks more like an earthquake hit this area. This road looks like this for miles!

I saw a nice new BMW 3 series sitting a "little low" in the front yard of a waterfront home. A few hours ago, this car was on the bottom of the intracoastal, as the storm surge came over the top of the car. See the next picture for proof.

You know... telephone/power poles don't have much area for wind to grab hold of them, so explain this...

    Not exactly nautical...

    ..., but truly sad nonetheless.
Florida real estate developer Walter Medlin's collection (in what was a non-descript barn near Kissimmee, just south of Walt Disney World. Beneath the barn, on a concrete slab, were 19 cars—an Avanti, what appeared to be an old Indy car, and 17 Ferraris.)
