I'm not talking about the HULL...I'm talking about something Carver said is a no load platform..that's two pc's of glass that's over 20 yrs. old. So we agree to disagree...

As an engineer and boatbuilder, I learned that polyester/fiberglass does not degrade over time and needs UV and vapor protection. I can find no information that plastic, like concrete, gets stronger over time.

Many similiar Carvers around here [used to have a dealer in town]; most use the hartop over the aft deck for dingy storage. Those that have davits have a 1000' capacity davits. Some have modified the supports to provide more even support [mine was that way from a prior owner]. Couple of chairs shouldn't exceed the weight of a RIB.

Do you have any photos or a link to some of the setups . I have not seen any on the lower chesapeake bay. And no photos on line yet.
