I will throw a related experience in this thread for future reference in case there is anyone doing research and trying to find a pathway.

Similar experience with MTU 60's, the cause wound up being a bad key switch on the Port engine. Once the $30-40 key switch was replaced, was golden. The challenge was getting to the point of pointing at the key switch.
