    I have lived like this for five years, no problems with neighbours or privacy. After my last two years in Antibes, when the boat was sold and I moved it to another slip, something scary happened;

My old place was too shallow for the arriving motorsailer so they hired a machine to dig away some mud from the bottom. When I arrived to watch, half the harbour was closed off by the police. They had found a mine, probably from WWII, which I have had just a few feet below my pillow...
Thinking of all the times I had the engines running in gear I must have been lucky!:)

Funny the different takes on similar situations. I don't think that we had mines but the navy people sure were in the water a lot. Guess that's what I get for having politicians for company. :D

Strange ship this; bit like an american sportfisher with a commercial deckhouse.
    Bit odd chimney too:)

Baby expedition design. Nordhavn has very similar models. This one is a bit too low in the stern for me. That bent stack is odd. I wonder if it is for cabin fireplaces rather than the engine?

Wasn't this owned by Bruce Willis & Demi Moore?

    Hi there,

Can anyone tell me who built Passion (pic 22)?

She looks remarkably like the (late?) Swedeship "Destiny Langkawi"
In fact does anyone know what happened to Destiny Langkawi after she was pulled from the water?

    Thanks,
    Rob

You are right, this was the Swedeship Destiny. Now completely rebuilt at Astilleros de Mallorca to a design by Felix Buytendijk. They have done a good job, but the elegant lines of Destiny is gone and one of the best interiors by Terry Disdale is also gone...

Now she is very traditional with mahogany panels and golden fittings, the helideck is replaced by a jacuzzi. She has got new electronics and also new main engines why Bureau Veritas consider her a new yacht from the rebuild in 2003.

Well I'm glad she was not scrapped as was a suggested possibility.

What do you mean the elegant lines are "gone"?
Also, I was under the impression the old interior was by Donald Starkey (I think from a major re-fit in about 1997).

Yes I see what you mean...

The aft end has become more bulky / boxy / top heavy with the treatment to the helipad and the deck below.

Just my opinion, but, as you say- the elegant lines are gone.

Although the new interior does look nice:

and in this pic she does look somewhat graceful:
