Having grown up in Door County WI, i have spent much of my time on Lake Michigan and Green Bay. Its a gorgeous area, very scenic. Some might say quaint. In Sturgeon Bay (a Door County waypoint most people pass over) there is a gorgeous new marina called CenterPointe Marina (http://www.shipyardliving.com/) that is part of an extensive waterfront development. The facilities are the best/newest in the area. The location is great (a couple blocks from historic downtown). And the owners are great people, always looking to make your experience the best possible. The development is actually on the former site of Peterson Builders Shipyard, so there is lots of nautical history involved. They can accomodate transients up to about 100' I belive. If you're cruising the Door County area, I would definately suggest spending a night here.
