Gardner 8L3B Replacement?

    As an example of the Gardner heritage, here's the engine room of SV Southern Cross, a 62' yacht built for the MD of Gardner in 1972. Her engine room has 3 Gardners: a mirrored pair of 6L3B and a 3LW Generator.

    Hey Jon, Still around? I have a boat I am buying with twin 8L3B's with 15,000 hours on them and I'm thinking they might be ready for a rebuild. They run fine but that is quite a few hours although I don't really know how long these little rascals last with decent maintenance??
