   I wasn't certain the two nearby gauges were both fuel, as he said "they are daisy chained to the volt meters (fuel gauges have yellow terminal connectors)".
   I agree, it needs to be fault-traced with a meter and method.

   Agreed. Ohm reading from the senders at the gauge can immediately educate as to an issue w sender or wire. Prove a fault or prove functional.
