Sycara V and Caprice

I caught Sycara IV, always a show favorite, as she was being spun around and then berthed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.

What I wouldn't give for just her tender!

Across the Intracoastal at Pier 66 Marina is Caprice a 1994 Oceano that was designed by Gerhard Gilgenast with interior by Donald Starkey. Her bow appearance is kept clean and contemporary with the use of retractable anchors.

Across the Intracoastal from Sycara IV is a tidy row of white megayachts all neatly nestled in bow to stern!

Directly underneath the baloon you see a bright white building which is the Bahia Mar Hotel, the main show location. On show days there will be a steady stream of tenders, water taxis, boats, and all other description of marine conveyances ferrying yachties back and forth and too and fro as the day progresses.

Do you believe in Magic, well I do! Next in line is the 2005 Pacific Northwest Superyacht Society Design Award winner a 130-foot tri-deck Trinity named, you guessed it, Magic! And she looks as good on the inside Magic -- Trinity Motor Yacht for Sale or Charter - YouTube as she does on the outside.

Atlantica, Relentless, Ingot, and Caribbean Spirit

Next in line is the 134' Atlantica built in 2000 with exterior styling and engineering by Christensen and the sophisticated interior design of Donald Starkey. She can accomodate 12 guests in 5 luxurious cabins and in addition has a floating dive centre so you can work up an appetite before Chef Stephanie spoils you with one of her gourmet feasts.

Next is Relentless a 145' Trinity masterpiece whose sumptous and luxurious interior makes her guests feel like they have arrived in paradise. Which they of course have since they are at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the greatest show on Earth!

Back across the Intracoastal we have the 105' Ingot built in 1998, which is not to be confused with the new Ingot launched in 2009 after being built for the same owner, the well known Chairman of Burger Boats. She sleeps 6, is all alluminum, is priced at $7.9M and comes with a limited one year warranty! Bonus!

I leave you with a little Caribbean Spirit, well not really so little at 78' x 35', another great way to see the Boat Show and all the Boat Show mahem from the water.
