    Not working show but...

Will be at the show both Friday and Saturday and would like to meet any other YF members interested.

Any members working boats we'd (wife/partner, Charlotte, and I) certainly like to take a closer look...

    Hello all,
Been away for a while trying to keep up with the day job et al. But did make it to FLIBS and want to share some shots of the event. Got out tonight for some night shots. Enjoy.

Judy, thanks for putting this together. It was a pleasure to meet some of the YF-groupies (groupers?) last night, and to hear so many interesting first-hand stories about boats and boating.

    Cakewalk

In reply to Yacht News, here are a few shots of Cakewalk when she first came in to Ft. Lauderdale and was on the face dock at Sails. Sorry the photos are not better, I had my old camera.

I've edited the title of the thread to better reflect the contents of the thread.

C'mon everyone... post those pictures for all of us that can't be there!

    Dan,

I was on board until about 6:45 so I must have just missed you. I had to go because I needed to close down our booth. We were sharing some nice stories and having a great time. We did make a pack that what was said on SeaSpirit, stays on SeaSpirit.

I think what's said on YF stays on YF, so everyone's safe. I would have come by your booth last night, but I was already exhausted ;) -- Dan

    Hi all!

Posting from a signal-seeking, glitch-ridden, poor excuse for a laptop known as the iPad. Come Tuesday, it's going to cost me a 15% restocking fee when I return it to the Worst Buy store and remind myself why I never buy first generation anything.

FLIBS isn't a Flop this year. Seems to be a good number of fiscally endowed in attendance, which is in direct proportion to the ample supply of PYT's who have little interests in boats, except to be seen on them.

Thanks to Tom for burning the midnight oil to bring night shots to YF. That man has more energy than FP&L! Special thanks to Judy for hosting this year's meet-up. It was nice to finally meet some very respected members of our community. It really is a small YF world. It came full circle for me that night and got the best of my emotions.

I'm full time boarding boats, looking for holes in hulls today. YF's next review goes live Tuesday, after I get onboard a little boat that shines as bright as the Northern Star. It should be a piece of Cake (Walk).

    Best!

Now, now Carl. Don't blame the iPad for ATT's ****** over burdened 3G network.:)

Anyone notice the time that Tom posted that pic? After working all day at the show, he worked all night at the Dockwise party held atop Pier 66, then joins me and David Marlow in the hotel bar until 1:00 AM. Still, he finds time (energy?) to process a batch of pics, convert from raw, resize and upload to YF.

Thanks for all you do Tom!

Thanks to all who joined me aboard M/V Sea Spirit for the Yacht Forums Rendezvous!

Great time was had by all, experiences shared, and a particular boat was the butt of our jokes :D

It's one thing to respect the voices of knowledge and experience as they relay information to others, but then to meet the individuals in person and find they're the normal guys sharing jokes makes us all on equal standing for love of all things yachtie.

Thanks to Dan for allowing his new yacht to be the party platform, thanks to Carl as always for being Carl and Mr. YF, and thanks to all who made the get-together great! I'm proud to be a YF-er.

    Carl, et al,

I enjoy bringing what I can to YF like everyone else. And it was fun to sit with David Marlow and hear his stories.

Judy, sorry I missed the gathering. Very busy with my other clients during the show so my socializing was limited. Did go to a press luncheon on Big Fish and all I can say is WOW! The YF review is the next best thing to being there.

Many builders, brokers and vendors were having good results so far with the show. Many mentioned the upcoming election here in the USA and the perceived affects it may have on potential buyers (it's a good thing).

Tired tonight so will share a handful of pics. More to come and we welcome other's pics too.

Lazzara had a flock of yachts, with the new 76 motoryacht and a 78 (is that right, Carl?) named SEXY with a Porsche-red radar arch.
