In a lake that is 30 Miles long and 6 at it's widest I would say that a 65 Donzi and any other 65 ft yacht would stick out like dogs ....

I was just kidding ... but I think it's reasonable for the OP to take a look at the interiors of some of the boats he might be considering and to decide whether the wife will be comfortable spending a few days or a week on board.

I know that with my Bertram 28, my wife laughs at it and will never spend even one night on the boat. Although it's a nice example of the breed, it has almost NONE of the comforts of home.

The Bertram 54 is a whole different story. More like a condo.

    Hi

Its ok, I am glad for all the help I get, I need it.

Interiors, well I do like the look/feel of the windy, feels so solid, scandinavian. Good in a way, but also a bit "odd". How to say, hmm. When having a look at a Cranchi, Azimut and so, they got the Italian style, good, and so is the scandinavian style.

Inside space....Oh, I was driving around to the marinas here and in Lugano to look at boats, had a look at a Atlantis express cruiser. Oh, nice looking boat, but not so much space inside, as I was to here. Looks good and all, but made me and my wife feel like we are in a sports coupe of a car, with we are, only its on water.

Then we walk over to a saloon, oh, more space, it sure feels like it is LOTS more, more windows and so, letting in more light, making it more cozy.

Next was a Azimut flybridge from 2001, oh what a boat. I have never been aboard one before. The boat are great, the view from the flybridge is just great. Now I understand what you all mean. My wife loved the style to, going one and one about you can have your space at the top and me and my friends down here.........Hi you listening...? I was in the captains chair at the top, looking around her, easy to dock, oh yes. The express cruiser now is gone from the mind.

I am looking for a flybridge! Crazy, I was thinking of a express cruiser, 30 something, max 35, and now I am looking at a 38 Azimut. But, she does not feel that big, more space, more comfort.
The day after tomorrow I will go and have a look at a 43 flybridge from Azimut.

I do not know Azimut boats at all, but they sure feels good, well made. Not the same feeling as a boat from Norway, but its not from Norway.
I like them. Light colorer inside, light wood and so. Just have to find out if they are winter isolated, need that here on the lake.

    cheers all

Hi the Azimut feel nice, and the fittings are rich, for interior decoration. Very much to a woman liking too...
I think you cannot compare an Azimut shaft drive with Windy stern drive boat, the Norwegian boat will surely be more agile, and they do have an agile hull, but I am sure with bigger water the shaft boat will feel more safer
I have been on both Azimuts 39 and 43, the new 43 is a great boat. Did you see the new 38 or the old 39 as I am a bit confused. While not seeing it first hand I read some good reviews about the new 38...
Which Atlantis did you see? I would look at a 43S too, which IMO has best of both worlds
