Well it was hard to get to her and had to venture into some restricted areas but here are some photos of her by the Vincent Thomas Bridge. I am going to try to get some photos of her from a near by apartment complex from the eleventh floor but I don't know when that may happen.

Fincantieri's new concepts now have brochures with floor plans including the 145m gas turbine project.

Has anyone seen a picture of Serene with the big swiming pool aft open to the sea? I have seen a lot of pictures, but none with that central section lowered so that the tenders can enter the yacht, as it is designed to do, like Pegasus V ex-Princess Mariana.

Hahaha...this is my favorite "Serene" video so far...my gosh, this boat simply becomes more and more stunning with every new image I see....I would love to have the scratch to charter this beauty for a week, with a few close friends....if this lust for this yacht increases, she may very well take 1st place ahead of my all time favorite looker, Pelorus

    Cheers,

Oh don't get me wrong...Pelorus is still my top looker...it is just that as I see more and more images/videos of Serene, my love for her just keeps growing. Funny, since Eclipse is also frigging massive, yet I still cannot develop any strong feelings for her. To me, Eclipse still looks more like a cruise ship than private yacht, whereas Serene has sensual lines and great looks. I wonder how different Eclipse would have been with a different colored hull? The now old image of Serene on Fincantieri's website showed a totally "white" hull and it was not until we saw images of the painted hull did Serene go, IMHO, from a not pretty duckling to a visual stunner...

I just hope with all my heart that Serene is as stunning/incredible in the places where we cannot see as she is where we CAN see!!

    Cheers,

You are right on the color, Serene all-white looks very different (to the point I thought the picture was from another build). But when compared to Eclipse, is not just color, Serene's profile has so many elements, so much movement, whereas eclipse's is very clean and flat, long white strips. To my a huge plus is Serene's beach club, open to both sides and with the swimming pool that can be open to the sea (like Octopus and Pegasus V). That really integrates the yacht with the sea, something very important (unless you want a floating luxury hotel) and very difficult to achieve with such huge yachts.

Fincantieri's sales manager (and Serene's project manager) said at MYS 2013 that project Victory (140 meters) will be delivered next summer. I'm amazed we haven't seen any pictures yet, or did I miss them?

Well did we see pictures of Serene when she was late in construction? No we didn't. Only after she emerged in that all-white protective film. Maybe that's what will happen. If Project Victory is going to be delivered in Summer next year, Q1 launch could be expected?
