Would love to see photos from anyone here who might have attended Cannes.

Thank you, I posted the D54 to replace a Wally I had put there by mistake, since the picture was from Port Camille Rayon in Golfe Juan and not Cannes.

This is the best slide show of the Cannes show I have seen so far that includes many smaller boats I am not familiar with!

Check out one of my favorites at the 4:26 mark.

I would be interested in knowing who the modern grey hulled trawler style yacht is at the 8:17 mark??

It's a dead link Disco! Seems they've pulled the video too.

Sorry, they just posted a new link, my favorite is at 4:29 and the grey hulled trawler I would like identified is at 8:21.

I think I saw your favorite :) and the trawler I catched with a "red sail in the sunset". This is the one; Garcia Trawler GT54 - Flybridge has been set up ! - YouTube

The GT54 is Le Trawler by Garcia. I spent the better part of 2 1/2 days aboard 3 weeks ago just before she departed for Cannes. The photo posted is Le Trawler leaving Cannes enroute to the Annapolis Powerboat Show; I'm not sure of her current lat/lon but as of a few days ago she was beating weather and ahead of schedule for arrival.

    Stay tuned! :D

    How does she ride?

She is scheduled to be in FLIBS too.

Of all the boats we discuss or review DK, I'm amazed you would notice this little trawler and send it to the top of your short list. Well, you're not alone... it caught our attention too! Judy flew to France specifically to do a review on Le Trawler just before Cannes. The review should go live in the next week or so... :)

A good design becomes a great design when it grabs the attention of multiple minds! With me it was like falling in love at first sight.....

Awesome, I will look forward to hearing all about her when the review hits the news stands!

Cool...this show looks like a sweet one to also add to the bucket lists of shows to see along side FLIBS and MYS.....is the Cannes show more low key than say the MYS?? I still saw lots of glitz and glamor (beautiful cars and people) in the many excellent videos.....

    Cheers,

If I should make a distinction between the two, I think Cannes is more for Production boats/yachts and Monaco is for larger One Off or Custom builds.

In both shows there are also brokerage yachts. And there are also builders who participate in both shows, like Moonen and Wally, so the shows have an overlap around the 80 foot size. And so have the glitz...
