Feadship Launches 44-meter Motoryacht "Moon Sand"

It is only the fourth month of 2015 and Dutch builder Feadship launches another custom motoryacht from their facilities. This time, the new yacht is on the smaller scale of their build portfolio, the 44-meter motoryacht "Moon Sand". She was built as hull 690 with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to a design by Bannenberg & Rowell. The full LOA is 44.20-meter and rises over a basic tri-deck arrangement. Moon Sand is finished in pure white with black accent banding around the windows. On the interior, accommodation is for eight in four cabins. The owner has a large room complete with study, ensuite double bathroom and walk-in closet/dressing area. The guests have a VIP as well as two large rooms that can remain that way or be joined to make one large suite -if necessary-. The Naval Architecture of Moon Sand has been done by De Voogt Naval Architects. Moon Sand is an interesting design and appears reminiscent of the SL39 model yachts in many aspects. She may not be a huge yacht but the design allows for good use of exterior spaces. The owner will still have their lounging areas. The main deck bulwark features a generous 'cut-out' surely designed not only to accentuate the blocked lines B&R did but also to improve visibility to the water from the saloon. After trials and final fitting works Moon Sand will be handed over to her new owner.
