Hi, Are you sure it is a Nav Display missing. As far as I am aware Monitors used for Navigation etc have to be approved. I was not aware that Mac made any.
I would hope that the Mac monitors here are approved.....I mean, I see plenty of these Mac screens every day and the IPS technology is impressive with stunning images....would look great for navigation, radar, etc....with the proliferation of IPS technology, I would expect that all of the companies producing approved bridge monitors would be offering 1080p IPS monitors for the yachting industry.... Cheers,
"one more thing" was the phrase that he said near the end of his product unveilings as to another surprise.
Hi, Try these for a start. I got this off the Hatteland Website. IEC 60945 4th (EN 60945:2002) IACS E10 BV ABS DNV GL
Venus at night: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...98969363459958&type=1&relevant_count=1&ref=nf There are reflections in the railing or is it light? I would say it's light.
I called Apple today and no one I spoke to thought any of their monitors are approved by any marine classification society. What are the implications of using a non approved monitor for navigation? Perhaps they have an "approved" monitor for navigation in an office where it can't be seen by the public?
maybe it's only fake - the panels are certified but the back and front are made from imacs - we've seen 27" monitors on yachts before (if the approval for the monitors is only about the panel)
Excellent picture... The polished stem surely does provide an optical illusion of the hull windows going to the bitter end. Looks even more angular and flatter than in the profile pictures. Very creative unique styling. Excellent finish and workmanship even from a distance is apparent. All that said, I don't think it is practical sea going boat... poser and marina queen... nothing wrong with that and maybe unfair if you think "avant garde house boat"... and nothing wrong with that. But my gut says impractical; un-seaworhty / make that un-ocean worthy; styling wins out over common sense; a styling stunt for Apple geeks (I am typing this on macbook pro with all the bells and whistles), and; I would seriously reconsider a shipyard that would build such as un-serious... truly. As my better half says, "Considérer le bien" ... and implies with her expression... "oublier le mal ... c'est un rêve rêveurs ... viens te coucher ... vous irez à la messe matinale avec moi demain."
Considérer le bien... Perhaps... its as Henk De Vries says "do irresponsible things while you can" And, Steve Jobs... did his... c'est un rêve rêveurs Henk de Vries, CEO Feadship "enjoy, do irresponsible things while you can" - YouTube
I know we agreed that we wouldn't place any youtube videos on here anymore, but I really wanted to share this one. Its the yacht being moved to another location. Steve Job's Superyacht - YouTube
When you look at the last 5 seconds of the video, you can see that there is a round window on the top of the bow.
Great find, thanks for sharing something special like this! It would be real interesting if the round shape on the deck near the bow turned out to be something other than a skylight, like an elevator opening for instance! I have a feeling there are more surprises yet to come from this amazing goodie bag!
