That cannot possibly be all her lights! if so she would really need a full hull of underwater lights to make her stand out. Who knows, she may very well have underwater lights. Logically thinking they maybe wrapped around the stern where the tender doors and the fold-down swim platform are. I was hoping that the 'box' behind the bridge would be lit..back lit or have individual led strips between the slats.
For extra safety such lights around the swimming/tender areas would be logical, but...I think they decided against the yacht being able to look like an open air disco, such as Serene with different colored lights on each deck Minimalistic design = subtle lighting & less is more
I not so sure about less being more... I understand she is a minimalist design. It is clear! but she must be able to be lit more than we have seen thus far. I believe we will have to wait for photos when she is in Palm Beach, she surely will be showing off fully then!
Here is the latest from Palm Beach. Is Steve Jobs? dream yacht docked in West Palm Beach? | www.palmbeachpost.com
Venus is located inside of Rybovich's North floating dock so to get spy photos you would need to be in the marina, in a boat, or have access to the properties North of the marina which is where it looks like the newspaper photos were taken from. Check out the "hidden" boarding door located near the stern on her starboard side. Her design creates a very interesting juxtaposition with the other yachts she is among; something I look forward to enjoying the more we see of her as she travels the world!!
I was wondering when would she finally get there. Last night I was checking on the AIS but I didn't find her.
Thanks for the photos of her Jeff. She'll have her critics for sure...I kinda like her, at least she is different! not pretty overall but different.
I do like her a lot from all angles, except when the stern is in the picture. I believe the stern is what you build a yacht for: to be close to the water. The stern looks more like a fortress than a terrace by the sea, which I prefer. I suppose it will look different with the stern door open, but I always prefer it if you can imagine the fun to be had, just by looking at the yacht. In any case, big thumbs up for another owner willing to push the envelope in design! I am sure this yacht will still look good in twenty years (perhaps after a refit to modify the stern?).
