I never knew that "Ocean Victory" had lights that changed colour. See the very end of this Feadship video. Feadship Ocean Victory - YouTube
Ocean Victory is now for sale through Camper & Nicholson. Her price is US$180mil. Interior shots are available on the website. Very nice Alberto Pinto interior I must say. I've always thought this to be a very handsome Feadship - one of my all time favorites.
135.000.000,- Euro not including the upcomming major overhaul for the generators (12.000 hours each) and some refit on the mains, it looks like a very ambitious price tag. Taking the amount of money of the original sales price, add the interest, I would have got from the bank, by not buying that boat, add the inflation during that period of usage of the boat; oh, I forgot, add a little margin, because my next boat will be bigger; Abra, Kadabra, there is is the price, I would like to have for my boat. Thats the way, I would like to sell a cargo vessel after some time of usage . I share the opinion, that we might have some time to watch the sale process of this fine boat.
There's a bigger yacht (#1005) under construction at the same yard where OV was built, perhaps the same owner? Ambitious pricetag, making a profit on a four year old yacht would be impressive
Hi, There is a bigger one coming no doubt but it is not #1005. Go back about 5 yrs, There was a certain fever gripping the business, a symptom of which was that certain vessels that could be had in short order changed hands for silly money often way way over their build price. This phenomenon went for those already delivered and sailing around as well as a few in build that I am aware of. Lets hope it gets back that way sooner rather than later.
Anastasia is the same size, one year older and asking 125 million euros vs 135 million euros for Ocean Victory. What asking price would be realistic in current market conditions?
Hi, The price they achieve is fully dependant on what they are like in way of interior and amenities, the cost of overhauling the gensets wont make much difference to the bottom line. If a prospective Owner or his wife like either one they will sell. Only small fly in ointment is nationality of current owners might reduce the potential customer a bit as I am told there is quit some rivalry between these guys in more ways that one, once you have worked for one it will be difficult to work for another in a different camp so to speak similar to how it was with the Middle Eastern Owners 20 yrs ago.
I believe she (this Feadship) is now called "Ebony Shine" since the 140-meter Fincantieri OV has been delivered.
Vessels are worth what people are willing to pay for them. Start the price off high, wait for your next yacht to near completion and then lower aggressively. This is common practice...
According to a dutch news site and another yachting blog that strictly focuses on dutch mega yachts Dutch authorities have recently seized Ebony Shine here is the link:http://www.quotenet.nl/Nieuws/Super...je-aan-de-ketting-in-Den-Helder-foto-s-188518
