Our dockside water inlet water pressure regulator (40 psi) called it quits this week. Is the unit pictured below standard/original equipment on all of our boats? I would appreciate any recommendations for sourcing a replacement (make/model).
I know old Hatts and Bertrams have old regulators like yours pictured as standard equipment. Thru the years, they can get stuck. It is a Watts U5B regulator. I have had good results in freeing them up. A better plumbing supply should have a replacement for you. media.wattswater.com/ES-U5B.pdf
Same regulator I had in my Egg. Like Ralph said, plumbing supply places are the best source for replacement.
You definitely get what you pay for with pressure regulators and Watts makes a robust unit that's on the pricy side of $200+. I've installed a few bronze units that were made for RV's that were in the $100 range that worked out well & had a glycerin filled pressure gauge attached to the unit that's easy to eyeball to give a bit of peace of mind knowing that the pressure is holding at the set level.
