The CAT engine computer tells you exactly what your load is at all times, as well as fuel burn and many other parameters. Swapping bigger engines in his boat would be a HUGE expenses in the neighborhood of $300k or so to put C32's in the boat. His engines are rated to go 10,000 hours between overhauls, he has a very long way to go before he needs to rebuild them. To the OP, I would seriously look into larger trim tabs or more trim tab travel, that may be all you need to stay on plane and not fall off.....
