   You can also check compression and/or injector health by removing the cover and, during idle, push with a large screwdriver on the injector, if nothing changes, you have a problem there., simple and easy DIY check-up...

   Sounds like it's getting blown out one of the valves from the lifter valley. Bad valve guide sounds like.
