Hi, can anyone tell me what the connections need to be for a marine alternator?
Three wires came off it but no idea what order to put them back.
I thin B+ goes to the starter motor and another to the ignition light, and of course negative. Problem is I don't know which wires for which terminals.
    Thank you
    Justin

It would help if we knew what model alternator. Maybe some pictures.
    Have you consulted your manuals?

I have no idea what model. It's a Bukh engine. I'll take pictures when I am at the boat again.
Also, the yacht is 1976 boat, no manuals.

Refer to "The 12 Volt Doctor's Alternator Handbook" book, currently in print.
