Very true. I did not have the opportunity to tour this yacht, but I did view her from the dock. The photos, although beautiful, do not do her justice.

A question about her hull design. Sycara IV seems to be a very economical yacht to run, fuel wise. 13kts at 27gph seems to be much better than most. Is there something special about her hull design

Classic, timeless beauty in a modern yacht. How good is that? One gets tired of seeing the same thing, the same thing, the same thing. This yacht should be a standout for a long time to come. She'll bring out the blue blazers.

Like Sycara, resurrecting this thread is a trip back in time for me. It was last summer and I only had one thing on my mind; YachtForums. This summer is different...

I'm sitting at a workstation with layers of blue-lines on one desk and finished prototypes on another. I have another 2 dozen components in various stages of completion with deadlines fast approaching and I'm feeling the pressure Burger's president Jim Ruffolo was under to deliver Sycara. The day I toured the boat (about a week before delivery), he was the conductor in an orchestra of controlled chaos. He had about 30-40 craftsmen on the boat, each performing specific tasks. I remember appreciating the myriad of details he was juggling. He hardly had a second to spare, but gave me twenty, then had to turn his attention back to Sycara.

Today, this summer in fact, I'm in the same boat. Sorta speak.
