I just cannot believe that for a project of this magnitude, they haven't agreed on a fixed penalty per week or month delay.
As for interior pictures leaking out, that's a tough one, if there's no penalty agreed for that in the contract. Maybe some of the interior (or just the upholstery) should be rebuilt, or the rebuild cost reimbursed?

I guess the lawyers are having a ball again.

I also saw the press release below from the yard coming by. Very peculiar.

    Eclipse suffers delivery delay

Delivery of Roman Abramovich's new 162.5m Eclipse — the world's largest superyacht — has been put on hold.

A Blohm and Voss spokeswoman confirmed to SB that: "The delivery of Eclipse is held up until we reach agreement on payment."

Meanwhile, Blohm and Voss is also dealing with a delay in finalising its takeover deal with ADM Shipyards, which is buying Blohm and Voss' superyacht activities from ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems — and looking to take a majority stake in its naval build and repair activities.

Well if your boat was held up at the yard for over a year i'm sure you would be whining.

    Whiner.

I would be - yes. I was just making light of the situation. I have worked for numerous Wealthy individuals. However, I think there is probably more to this story that what is actually being discussed.

I would not doubt it Mike. With such a high profile yacht and client, why would you discuss everything in the public domain? B+V's head must be spinning.

Eclipse arrived in Kristiansand this morning but still has the german flag... another sea-trial as it seems.
Her "class" (sorry, i don't know the exact name) has changed from pleasure craft to passanger craft.

Maybe Mr. A has to wait a bit more for his one year-delayed christmas present :)
