There is a serious error with that picture; She's tied to a dock. Cut dat puppy loose and go fishing..
The photo was taken a day after a fishing trip off Cape Point, mid December 2016. The boat was purchased in Fort Lauderdale in 2015 and shipped from Jacksonville to Cape Town, South Africa in February 2016. She returned from a round trip to Walvis Bay, via Luderitz, in Namibia, last week. A voyage of 1400Nm. At 1000RPM fuel consumption of around 45L/hour and between 8 and 9,2Knots depending on weather and current. South of Luderitz the wind picked up to 45Knots from the south ( heading south ) which the boat handled well, we stopped for a night in the lee of Possession Island. The 12V71's never missed a beat, and all told it has been a happy experience thus far. I have not seen another Bertram 54 in Southern Africa-ever, although there are a few Bertram 28s.
